The Central Library is where the most important historical books in Switzerland are maintained. The reproductions department is fitted with a high quality book holder and a motorized Foba camera stand with a very high precision stepping motor (with 0.5mm control) which allows extreme accuracy when using motorized control of the stand.

They are working on a project to reproduce all the Swiss books from the 16th century in order to make all the texts available online. The book they are working on today is a text from 1512.
